With reference to your letter of the 29th. Aumes,
ultimo, No.15140/02, relative to a proposed re-organization
of the Police Force at Hong Kong Yard on the lines of the Colonial Police Force at that Port, I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to request that you will be good enough to inform them to what extent the pro- posed Ordinance mentioned in your letter would correspond
to No.2 of 1867.
My Lords also desire me to request that a draft of your proposals respecting such an Ordinance may be
referred for their consideration.
